Carl Wilbur Saldeen collection
The Carl Wilbur Saldeen collection contains a student receipt from 1946. The receipt lists the fees Saldeen paid. The receipt is stamped with "Vet Admin GI" indicating that Saldeen was a veteran attending Michigan State College (now Michigan State University) on the GI bill. Also included is his student identification card from 1939.
Ethel Rathke papers
The bulk of this collection consists of scrapbooks. The twenty scrapbooks are filled with newspaper clippings, magazine articles, and pictures covering such diverse topics as World War II, the Middle East, Lansing and East Lansing, Japanese culture and flower gardening. Also included are Ethel Rathke's prose and poetry and her correspondence with publishing companies, friends, and acquaintances.

Leon S. Pope collection
The Leon S. Pope collection consists of one volume which recounts his story as a bomber pilot during World War II. Wild Blue Yonder includes photographs of Leon Pope and fellow soldiers, colored maps of America and Europe, photographs over Germany, newspaper clippings, and a detailed picture of a B-24 Bomber.
Included also is a copy of his obituary and newspaper clippings announcing a scholarship he won.
